About Looking Glass Falls

Located in Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina, Looking Glass Falls is a breathtaking waterfall that has become a popular tourist attraction. This 60-foot cascading waterfall is easily accessible and offers a stunning backdrop for photography. It was named after its reflective surface, which resembles a mirror or “looking glass.” This waterfall has a rich history and was once used by the Cherokee tribe as a hidden swimming spot. In the early 1900s, Looking Glass Falls was also a popular site for logging, until it became a designated part of the National Forest.
