About Chalk Sound

Chalk Sound is a stunning turquoise lagoon located on the southwest coast of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands. This natural wonder was formed over 500 years ago when sea level rise created a barrier reef across Caicos Bank. The tranquil waters of Chalk Sound are dotted with tiny cays and surrounded by cliffs, making it a popular spot for kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. The area is also home to several species of birds, including ospreys and pelicans. Visitors can take in the breathtaking views from the nearby Taylor Bay Beach or enjoy a picnic on one of the secluded cays. For photographers, Chalk Sound offers plenty of opportunities to capture beautiful landscape and wildlife shots, with its vibrant turquoise water, lush vegetation, and unique rock formations.
